  • By far the most honest and enjoyable podcast on the Beatles!

I discovered this podcast literally by accident in 2019 when I was on the Fabcast facebook page. I had been following that podcast for a year and stumbled upon a SATB episode where Robert was talking to Chip Madinger and Mark Easter about the remastered version of Eight Arms to Hold You. I was hooked from then on. Thank you Robert for providing years of enjoyment with amazing conversations with some of the most knowledgeable Beatles people. I look forward to every episode. Well done!

  • Olympiad

I agree that Gary’s comments are often weak and the whole Olympiad thing is kinda silly. But to the guy who took Gary to task for saying that “For you Blue” featured a lap steel (and not just a slide), you are wrong. It absolutely is a lap steel.

I love this podcast and have listened to most if not all the episodes.

All of the Olympiad shows with Gary Wenstrup make me nuts. He truly comes across to me as someone who knows nothing about the Beatles and less about music. Is there something I’m missing about this guy. I’ve tried and tried but I had to draw the line at his repeated use of lap steel. It was never a lap steel. It’s just slide. There are numerous things that he said the were dopey and lacked musical and Beatles knowledge but t... more
