  • Podcast perfection

One of my all time favorite history podcasts because it presents history how I’d want history to be presented to me. The conversational approach filled with humor is absolutely perfect. Love Aran’s accents, and Olivia’s laugh!

  • Weird? Yes. That’s good.

It’s weird, it’s nerdy, it’s academic, I love this pod. It sounds like two doctoral students in medieval studies talking about the thing they love most, and I am there for it. It’s not slick and it runs long sometimes and it’s great!

  • This is great!

Wading through a sea of slick vapid pop history medieval podcasts trying to find something worthwhile, I accidentally stumbled onto this one to my great joy. This podcast is just delightful, funny, quirky, and at the same time deeply founded in facts and real knowledge by people who just know their stuff. Plus they are just a riot. All stars and thumbs up!

  • Love these goofy nerds

This podcast might not be for everyone but it is DEFINITELY for me. Olivia and Aran are incredibly well-informed and passionate about the subject matter (and about history and the study of history in general), and they have a natural rapport together. They are also extremely silly millenials who go off on tangents about Wishbone and mid-2010s internet culture. And I love it all! It's a fun complement to the more straightforward history pods I also subscribe to. It's an indie pod, and the product... more
