  • Dan is the man.

I’ve been listening to Dan for a few years on the Options Insider Radio Network. Always loved his approach to teaching options strategies. I was really excited when I found out he created his own podcast. Dan’s an excellent teacher, and on top of that he frequently hosts guests that are experts in the industry. If you want to learn how to build wealth using covered calls and short puts, there’s no one better to learn from than Dan. Can’t wait to get his new book too.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Ep34 - Kick the Road Down the Can
Q: How important do you think it is to really, really screen these trades and look for solid resistance?
It's important to balance technical analysis with a realistic approach to trading; while screening trades helps, traders shouldn't lose sleep over minor adjustments due to market conditions.
Ep34 - Kick the Road Down the Can
Q: So tell me, annualized returns, how reliable is that figure?
Annualized returns are often overestimated; they need to be calculated realistically based on actual trading results, considering that they don't always work out perfectly.
Ep30 - Dealers, Dispersion Trading and Payment for Orderflow: Interview with Kevin “Lex” Luthringshausen
Q: Is payment for order flow good or bad for retail traders?
It's good for retail because without it, zero-commission trading wouldn't be possible.
Ep30 - Dealers, Dispersion Trading and Payment for Orderflow: Interview with Kevin “Lex” Luthringshausen
Q: What is payment for order flow?
Payment for order flow signifies that someone is willing to pay someone else for the right to see that order flow, and it allows for better pricing for retail traders.
Ep 17- Seasonality, Cycles & the Calendar Edge with Jeffrey Hirsch Editor-in-Chief of the Stock Trader's Almanac
Q: Are there any seasonal things that you have found that are surprising?
The consistency of intraday trading patterns persists regardless of the rise of algorithmic trading.
