  • Seeking Vindication

Inane presenters looking for headline ‘bets’ coupled with analysts trying to provide nuance…often a painful listen. Additionally guests are frequently “gurus” buying into manias (crypto or buy Nvidia at $400). There are certainly more serious places for insight out there.

  • Really insightful

As someone who’s interested in learning how to trade options, I stumbled upon this podcast through the Seeking Alpha. I found the episode I listened to really insightful and took several notes on important factors to look into. With the current state of the stock market, it’s necessary to understand which companies you’re investing in. Also very easy to follow along and listen to on the go.

Quant Q&A with Steven Cress
Q: What do you suggest I do with stocks that go up in price and dividends but are now low hold ratings?
You should hold onto stocks with good yields despite lower ratings. A hold does not imply a sell unless it changes to a strong sell or similar.
Quant Q&A with Steven Cress
Q: Why is Comfort Systems a hold since February 2025?
Despite strong growth, profitability, and momentum metrics, Comfort Systems holds a low valuation grade, leading to its hold recommendation.
Quant Q&A with Steven Cress
Q: Can you please explain the Z score?
The Z score is created by taking the absolute data point for that metric versus the average or median data point for the sector, creating a ratio which allows us to grade its strength or weakness.
Innovative Industrial Properties: Leverage (for a REIT) is everything
Q: What are the biggest risks that you see for REITs in general, for cannabis REITs, and for IIPR specifically?
High leverage is a critical risk for REITs. IIPR has low leverage, reducing bankruptcy risk significantly.
Innovative Industrial Properties: Leverage (for a REIT) is everything
Q: What would you say about the safety of the dividend?
The current dividend is not covered by adjusted funds from operations, but there is potential upside as demand for properties is expected to increase with rescheduling.
