My father was a tail gunner on a B24 in WWII and he died in exactly the same manner. Planes were trying to get back into position and collided killing all.
This is/was an opportunity to tell the tail gunner’s story in the context of what it was like for the fighting men and women but what was our society doing at the same time. This would be wonderful story to tell. I wish I could be given this written material and I would continue this podcast.
