Still one of my favorite podcasts but Michael Tracy is so obnoxious. To be so skeptical that you don’t believe anything is enough to make him incredible. To not believe that humans have the capacity to harm others, that a 40 something man should have credibility over a young woman who may not understand the consequences of saying yes to $ when you are broke (supposedly theft is committed by the poor because their poor). It’s obvious that Michael doesn’t think men can be bad people and just becau... more

Great convo! I would add, though, that there's a real mindset transformation going on in the culture wars--which left-wingers tend to blame on the right but (IMO) are more often to blame themselves. Politics has become their religion (socially, *not* spiritually), and it's as dogmatic as any monotheism, dictating that there can be no compromise on what they deem to be the moral truth, thereby leading them to believe with all their heart that the right is not simply wrong; they're evil.
Your insight and humor are always spot on and I’ve been listening for awhile now but this weeks episode really hit home. Thank you for talking so honestly about alcohol and alcoholics.

Conversations driven by courage and candor, often featuring intellectuals, authors, and journalists who dissect culture, politics, and media with directness and wit. Episodes frequently tackle provocative topics—from therapy culture and digital society to civilizational themes and global politics—while staying focused on real-world implications and practical takeaways. Noteworthy are the diverse, sometimes contrarian viewpoints, the host's personal transparency, and a willingness to challenge prevailing narratives, making it well-suited for listeners who enjoy unvarnished discussion, cross-disciplinary ideas, and controversial angles that invite critical thinking.
