  • Great podcast

In an environment where Ohio State fans are increasingly annoying and unhinged towards OSU hoops, Tim brings some sanity into the discussion. His criticisms are usually fair and don’t come from a place of complete disdain towards our basketball program. If you want inflammatory takes, this podcast might not be for you. If you want to be part of a realistic discussion about where the program is at currently then you’re in the right place

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

2026 Summer Guest Series: Brian Walsh | Inside the Anthony Thompson Recruitment, His Vantage Point on Bruce Thornton's Record-Breaking Shot, the Game That Changed the Season, His Role in Recruiting and In-Game Adjustments
Q: What are your biggest focus areas in recruiting, both in terms of what you look for and your responsibilities?
Talent plus character are non-negotiables; identify top players, then deeply vet their work ethic, support network, academics, and fit with the program's culture and system, adjusting your approach to each recruit while maintaining consistent daily contact.
2026 Summer Guest Series: Mark Titus | Reflecting on "Worst Fans in the World" Take, His Conversations with Jake Diebler, Club Trillion Blog +Thad Matta, How College Basketball is Different From His Playing Days
Q: How has NIL affected your view of college athletics and former players' finances?
Titus explains the potential for significant earnings in the NIL era but suggests he might have been overwhelmed by the volume of voices, while acknowledging personal financial security and the rarity of standout monetization opportunities for a bench player. He emphasizes perspective over money and reflects on how his own path might have differed.
2026 Summer Guest Series: Mark Titus | Reflecting on "Worst Fans in the World" Take, His Conversations with Jake Diebler, Club Trillion Blog +Thad Matta, How College Basketball is Different From His Playing Days
Q: What was your playing career like at Ohio State?
Mark Titus reflects on being a guard who prioritized scoring and showmanship, explains how his career developed, and discusses how his role and the team's dynamics shaped his later work with media. He also notes the contrast between his on-court impact and academic/scholarship experiences.
April MAILBAG | What Keeps OSU From Returning to Elite Status, Jake Diebler's 5-Year Plan, Out of Conference Games, Student Section Fixes + More
Q: Based on last season's numbers, where do you predict Ohio State finishes next season, considering roster changes and Anthony Thompson's potential impact?
With Anthony Thompson potentially the top player and improved roster depth, the offense could rise into the top 20 in efficiency, while defense should improve with more length; a projection around mid to upper 40s in adjusted defensive efficiency and high 30s to 20s for offense is plausible, though elite status may still require further roster stability.
