Use to be my favorite show but now it feels like a spot for self advertisement. Sorry just the way I feel probably not important but I definitely have changed my podcasts .

  • Radical Ad

This broadcast is brought to you by an ad for Jasmine Crockett. They have no standard in terms of the ads that they will run, so I have no interest in continuing to listen to this podcast.

  • Best in the Biz

Adam King is not a voice that carries any credibility with OSU football. He’s the only weak-link on this podcast. As a true recruiting junkie, I can confidently say Birm is the best in the business, when it comes to OSU recruiting Info, and it’s not even close.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

The Beat: Ohio State mailbag on Arthur Smith renovating Buckeyes offense, wide receivers and more
Q: What is a realistic benchmark for Brandon Innis in his final season in terms of receptions and impact on the offense?
A realistic target is around 55-60 receptions with 7-8 touchdowns, focusing on yards per catch and overall impact on moving the offense rather than raw volume, with Smith helping to maximize Innis's opportunities.
The Beat: Ohio State mailbag on Arthur Smith renovating Buckeyes offense, wide receivers and more
Q: How will Arthur Smith's experience as a coordinator help the Ohio State offense return to a more cutting-edge approach given recent roster changes?
They expect Arthur Smith to contribute to a more flexible game plan that still leverages Ohio State's talent, using his NFL-informed concepts to improve matchup exploitation, while Day remains the primary play-caller and decision-maker.
The Beat: Ohio State mailbag on Arthur Smith renovating Buckeyes offense, wide receivers and more
Q: What are the chances at the start of the Texas game we see Jeremiah Smith and Chris Henry on the outside, with Brandon Innis and Devin McEwen in the slots—four-wide and Let the pass set up the run?
While it's an exciting idea, the hosts don't expect that exact alignment to be the base plan against Texas; they see it more as a strategic option to surprise defenses, with Day mixing personnel to exploit matchups while maintaining balance with the run game.
Snap Judgments: Ohio State running backs have full faith from Carlos Locklyn despite injury woes
Q: What is the coach most concerned about as spring practice progresses?
The hosts discuss that the primary concern is depth and how the unit will perform once injuries and competition are factored in, with Locklyn emphasizing growth, accountability, and a robust rotation.
The Beat: Ohio State mailbag on Tyler Bowen, Buckeyes playing depth, black stripes and more
Q: Do you think it's necessary to get more players on the field, not only for evaluation purposes, but also to keep them satisfied and less likely to enter the portal?
They discuss mixed realities of playing time, NIL, and portal dynamics, suggesting that more meaningful reps can help with development but that the decision ultimately hinges on whether the program invests adequately in players and sustains a balance between development and competitive needs.
