  • I hope Lisa returns

It was nice to hear from someone who puts on a ton of miles but doesn’t necessarily care about performance.

The first episode with Logan was good but I could hear a little bit of friction between hosts. Hopefully that gets ironed out with time.

Maybe there will be room to bring back Lisa once in a while

Q: What does it take to perform at a level where a teammate like Cavendish calls your ride the ride of the century?
Svein explains that on that day he felt exceptionally good due to a combination of being in the right physical state, efficient pacing on rolling terrain, and the ability to push through with energy management rather than relying solely on nutrition—emphasizing that preparation, having the legs, and the willingness to push through fatigue are key factors.

The wet cobbles and high speeds amplified risk, turning the race into a tense, crash-prone environment where positioning mattered greatly and small errors could end a rider's day, contributing to a high DNF rate.

Q: What made van der Poel's win in Omloop so iconic this year?
His ability to read the race, handle the wet and dangerous cobble sections, and execute a decisive, towering acceleration that created an unbridgeable gap, all while avoiding crashes that felled others, underscored why he's considered among the elite one-day riders.
