  • The whole foundation of ranking campagnola is ridiculous. It's not going to be seen as the top to your group set no one's that stupid In fact it's just looks dishonest to have your first and second groups that have basically the same name. You don't get prestige when someone looks at it and says oh yeah it's not actually the really the top one it just makes you look even stupid. And you and all the other shows keep quoting prices that are complete BS and everyone knows it.

  • Best in the business

These guys and gal consistently nail it. I especially appreciated the latest episode on the 1x compromise. It’s a reality many weekend warriors don’t fully understand. Yes, pro and serious amateur gravel racers use 1X, but the jumps between gears are a much bigger deal for us folks like me who average 170- watts rather than 270+.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Going back to basics
Q: What are some quick checks or practices you recommend for newer disc brake owners to avoid contamination and maintain performance?
Keep contaminants away from rotors; use rubbing alcohol for disc brakes; avoid spraying cleaners directly on rotors; use pad spacers when the wheel is out to prevent lever squeeze; and replace pads and rotors when wear is evident.
Going back to basics
Q: Jack, what are some examples that you'd say are common with the sudden changes in how something's working on a bike that brings customers in?
A common set includes silent brakes versus noisy ones due to contamination, pad wear, and rotor wear; splash contaminants affecting disc brakes; and the importance of listening for changes in brake feel, noise, and lever travel to gauge when maintenance is due.
Rumours all around and the aero cost of being in the Yellow jersey
Q: What is the outlook for 32-inch wheels in the industry according to the hosts?
They discuss growing momentum for 32-inch wheels, with brands like Trek signaling official product lines and retailers seeing pre-release details, while also noting concerns about market fragmentation and the need for size-specific solutions.
Rumours all around and the aero cost of being in the Yellow jersey
Q: How does Fusion Sportswear approach testing for aero performance in cycling apparel?
They built a wind tunnel, conduct extensive fabric and garment testing across dozens of fabrics, and test at multiple speeds and yaw angles to map performance, with a focus on both aerodynamics and comfort for practical race conditions.
Rumours all around and the aero cost of being in the Yellow jersey
Q: What is the aerodynamic cost of wearing the yellow jersey at high speeds?
Johannes Dahl suggests that fit and fabric quality can yield noticeable drag differences, with two-figure watt variations possible depending on conditions and rider position, and that a well-fitted race suit typically outperforms ill-fitting jerseys in aero efficiency.
