Hey friends! The UNspoiled! Book Club feed is mostly dead except for the very special time of year when Overdue has me on as a guest! Join us as we talk about Cackle by Rachel Harrison, and let me know what you think if you've read the book!
Greetings my ghouls and goblins, it's time for the spooky seasonal read with the boys from Overdue! Their delightful podcast (about the books that you've been meaning to read) invites me on in or around Spooktober to talk about a book they've been th... more
Hey everyone! I'm here with a surprise bit of book coverage with my favorite pair of boy reviewers, Craig and Andrew from Overdue! You can check out their show here! overduepodcast.com/
This episode, we talk about the YA novel Eragon, in whi... more
I just finished reading this book and needed to find a pod that analyzed it! So happy to have found this show. I listened to the episode breaking the book down, and not only did they understand the themes and lessons of the book, they helped me understand areas I hadn’t yet grasped. The host’s love of literature really comes through, and I can’t wait to listen to more episodes.
Would you please read & discuss The Starless Sea?
I feel bad leaving a poor review but I think this podcast would really benefit with some planning and research before they start. The shows feel kind of confused and just like conversation that moms have at a book club. Without any stake in these women’s lives, I found the show to be kind of boring and contrived.
The discussion is interesting when it’s on topic, but it isn’t often on topic. The Good Omens episode could have been cut by half and not lost any of the book.
I have just found you. I love your show. THANK YOU THANK YOU!!
The Book Club unlike other UNspoiled! shows feature different co-hosts for each book and while you may have your favorites the chemisty and dialog all the hosts bring are sure to surprise and amuse.
If you are looking for glowing reviews of every book this is not that podcast, but that's okay. UNspoiled! is about a first experience to what is being covered and in this aspect it is very unique! :)
The UNspoiled book club fills a much needed role in the UNspoiled family of podcasts. All those books which for one reason or another wouldn’t work in a chapter-by-chapter review get to still be discussed by the insightful and entertaining UNspoiled crew. Check through the backlog for some of your favorites and enjoy.
I love the candid completely honest conversation. The books are topical and known by a majority of even casual readers. Love it!
Natasha shows her skills again as an adept commentator. Unlike her appearance on Overdue, a great book review podcast, Book Club is a great way to learn more about a book through the lens of a trusted friend and understand the interaction of art and humanity. I wish I read more, and I'll keep trying so I can listen to Natasha and her many hosts! Here's hoping Unforgotten! gets off the ground soon.
The host would rather talk about herself for two hours than review a book. For Gone Girl we get to hear her bash another book podcast because they used the word crazy in an off hand way once, then numerous examples of how much she is like the main character. For Dune we get to hear over and over how whiney the main character is, all the while learning very little about the book.
Have been listening to Rabbits and Tanis Podcasts and they mentioned Ready Player One, referring to Rabbits. Silly me, I didn't realize it was a book and not another podcast. But because of my goof, I stumbled upon this hilarious and entertaining book review podcast.
Loved it!!! And I look forward to downloading additional ones. Thank you for helping to distract me during my house cleaning today! You both are a joy to listen to, despite the cruel digs at M.P.'s Holy Grail. ;)
Natasha and her guests take on a variety of books in an intellectual, relevant, socially conscious, woke, and always funny way. Thank you!
Natasha. Natasha Natasha Natasha. I am incredibly happy that you have managed to turn podcasting into a full-time job, and everyone else should be too. Every podcast you make is fun, interesting, and belongs in my must-listen category. I am excited to see you tackling more books, and I can't wait to see what's next. Thanks!!
