  • Much Needed Pod for an International Saints Member

These guys produce a quality pod and post/pre match analysis every week with great guests too. As an English St Kilda supporter this provides a great source of insight into the team and the game itself that is isn’t readily available elsewhere. Give it a listen and Go Saints!

  • Saints Connection

Long time listener, first time commenter.

After living interstate for the past 10 years, this podcast has been my best connection to our mighty Saints.

In a media landscape that loves to simp over Essendon, Geelong and Carlton, Unpluggered gives us a voice among the noise.

Thanks for always fronting up and flying the flag for the red, white and black.

Love the show guys. Living in QLD I don’t often get to talk about the saints with anyone as passionate as myself. So I’m hanging out for this pod every week, keep it up.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Interview with BRETT VOSS
Q: What stood out about the 2004-2005 prelim runs and the missed opportunities?
The 04 prelim showed us we could compete with top sides, but injuries and execution in 05 prevented us from sealing big wins; the sense that we were close to breaking through was palpable.
Interview with BRETT VOSS
Q: What was the cultural shift like when Tomo took over and how did it affect you personally?
There was a clear push to raise standards and change the group culture; as an older, developing player I had to adapt to new systems and styles, which was challenging but ultimately necessary.
Interview with BRETT VOSS
Q: How far away from being a regular senior player were you during your first years at Brisbane, and what influenced your move to St Kilda?
I was in and out, playing some games but not firmly established; I had an opportunity elsewhere and felt a fresh start at a club resetting its direction.
8.19: Interview with SEAN RALPHSMITH
Q: What was it like moving from Hawthorn to St Kilda and earning your spot in the senior team?
Sean explains that he believed he could play, but he still had to earn it, and that being around a likeminded group and strong leaders helped him adapt and eventually become a regular senior player.
8.15: Interview with NEIL BESANKO + Reflections from Darwin
Q: What led to your decision to move from St Kilda to Essendon, and how did you see that moment in the broader context of your career?
Explanation of contract/availability issues, club dynamics, and the personal choice behind changing clubs.
