I was hoping this would be a better dive. It feels like somebody’s reading a Wikipedia entry rather than doing their own research. Which would have definitely resulted in a more nuance (if not fair) approach.
I’ve never been in a cult, but I’ve been in a couple of organizations that have been viewed by some as cults.
They’re usually misrepresented, so I tend to do my research. I have walked away from an organization (actually two) that began to resonate as cultish to me.

I think I like the life experience behind what they are saying vs a purely academic view. I haven’t gotten super far in, but so far the chemistry between the sisters is good. The ladies are entertaining. Often I don’t like these podcasts because the hosts just drone on with a lot of talking about crap that has nothing to do with the podcast topic. This podcast is like sitting in on a discussion between people in a way that’s informative and at times funny.
Just binged the entire podcast. You 2 are amazing and I feel like we are friends. I am a Christian and this podcast got me thinking and questing!! Cults have always interested me and I liked the way they presented them and the bit of light heartedness that came with it to help it not be so heavy and hard. So good. Off to listen to it all again!!
