Two Doting Dads is a podcast series that follows the parenting escapades of two good mates, Matty J and Ash Wicks. Like all good modern relationships, they met on Instagram and instantly bonded over the fact that they were both sleep-deprived Dads doing their best to dote over their two children. They share a very laid-back style to parenting, they don't pretend to be experts and they celebrate ev... more

Listening to TDD is absolutely a highlight of my week. I’ve listened to the entire backlog and now it feels more like catching up on the lives of some interstate friends rather than just listening to a parenting podcast. Matt and Ash are honest and open in not only how they parent their kids, but essentially every part of their lives. It helps reinforce how being a good dad isn’t just about how you treat your kids, it’s also how you treat everyone else in your life, and how you take care of your... more
I neither have nor want children, but listening to these two brings an untold amount of joy to my week. The vulnerability (when they’re not making me literally lol) from both Matt and Ash is beautiful to listen to and gives me hope we’re moving in the right direction as a society. I’ve worked almost exclusively with men (which I am not) for the past 13 years so tend to listen to women when I chuck a podcast on, this might be my only exception.
I haven’t ever written a review for a podcast before but these guys deserve it! Love listening to you two banter with each so much but then obviously you’ve got each others backs when you need it. I don’t normally laugh as much as I do with this pod and I’ve loved coming along for the ride on their journeys. I used to listen to Life Uncut but made the move over here..shhhh don’t tell! I don’t even have kids but I feel so invested in their families and they make parenting sound enjoyable amongst ... more
Honestly one of the best podcasts around! Ash and Matty are so authentically hilarious and relatable even as a mum.
Ash I have loved hearing about your ADHD journey and it has helped me immensely with my own.
Keep up Gods work!
Despite being 22 and definitely not a doting parent I absolutely love the pod. It always brings me joy on my drive to work it makes my gym sessions slightly less awful. Also as a baby sitter the stories and words of (wisdom?) are always helpful. Definitely not advice though!
