  • Constructive criticism

I think you both are really great and I love what you both stand for when it comes to mental health. I particularly love the episodes when you talk about going through hard times etc as it can be so relatable in every day life. It’s nice to know that we’re not alone. I would like to add, I feel bad writing this but it’s all constructive criticism and I hope you take it onboard. I feel like Laura particularly needs to slow down when speaking. She stumbles a lot. It can be quite distracting and ha... more

  • Friendly chit chat

It feels like a chat with friends, it’s humorous, casual and light whilst relatable. I love that it’s not too scripted or formal.

    Keep going! With love

  • Superficial

This has so much potential to be interesting and thoughtful, however it feels like a couple of giggly giddy teenagers and not consistent with what KIC is about. Why not talk calmly maturely about important deep topics that align with your brand and audience? Your audience is smart and mature and this often feels the opposite. Laura especially lately is coming across as quite immature. Not a pleasant listen anymore unfortunately.

  • It’s ok but nothing amazing

I do listen to the eps here and there. Sometimes quite enjoyable. Some feedback is if steph can work on her filler words especially “or whatever” - this is said soooo many times and it sounds like teenager. Laura is constantly falling prey to tall poppy syndrome having to justify her success/lifestyle, eg “this is just my experience and not everyones” or “we’re obviously super lucky and grateful to be able to do XYZ”. Also Laura stumbles over her words so much and neither girls speak very cohesi... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

What is somatic movement? with Raj Barker
Q: What would you leave listeners with who are curious but hesitant to try a somatic class?
He urges listeners to treat hesitation as a cue to explore internally rather than push it away, reminding them that there is no pressure to perform and that starting with dialogue with a teacher and giving themselves permission to explore is key; progress comes from continued curiosity and self-compassion.
What is somatic movement? with Raj Barker
Q: What does somatic movement mean to you and what are some examples of how it can show up on the mat?
Raj describes somatic movement as a self-awareness practice where the movement is the entry point, but the real work comes from listening to the body's signals and allowing emotions to move through in a non-judgmental setting. It can range from simple breath-focused touch to more expressive, vocal work, all guided by the body's internal cues rather than external performance.
WWYD: My friend doesn’t care about my kid
Q: My friend doesn't care about my kid.
The hosts acknowledge that friends may struggle to relate after motherhood and emphasize that this doesn't make someone a bad friend. They encourage communicating needs, offering flexible support, and managing expectations while recognizing that relationships often shift with life changes. The takeaway is to protect your peace, adjust closeness as needed, and still nurture the friendship in a way that respects both people's seasons of life.
WWYD: my cellulite makes me self-conscious to wear a bikini
Q: Hi ladies, I'm needing some advice about a situation at work where older colleagues comment on what I'm eating and my body, making me uncomfortable. How would you approach this respectfully but firmly?
Document the behavior, consider a private conversation or email to set boundaries, and involve HR if needed. Explain how the comments affect your comfort and productivity, and propose a concrete boundary that the workplace should respect to protect your wellbeing.
WWYD: my cellulite makes me self-conscious to wear a bikini
Q: Hi, you two, love the pod and have been following your journey since 2018. I'm headed on a beach holiday next week, and I'm struggling with some body positivity. I've had cellulite on the back of my legs for as long as I can remember, even when I was in school. How would you navigate this?
Acknowledge that beauty standards are not your fault and that genetics and biology play a big role. Focus on what makes you feel good and safe on holiday, prefer outfits that give you comfort, and practice small acts of exposure (like wearing a bikini in trusted settings) to prove to yourself that others won't notice or judge as much as you fear.
