- Not just a trip down memory lane
A beautifully produced and presented show. It works best when the guest remembers the book vividly but rereads it with adult eyes exploring whether its characters and themes still work today. Janet researches it very well and keeps the focus firmly on the book always with a positive take. Some really eloquent guests - I really enjoy the ones which discuss my childhood favourites of course but all are interesting in different ways.

These podcasts are superb. Janet Ellis is a first rate interviewer who very skilfully manages each discussion to bring out fascinating insights from each of her guests. Even when I am not familiar with a book or a guest, these podcasts are still extremely interesting and entertaining. They make me want to go out and read books I would otherwise never have known about. Thank you to Janet and all of the team for a truly delightful set of interviews. Thoroughly recommended for all ages.
