"Too Stupid to Live" is the smartest podcast to ever review romance novels $5 or less. It's basically if a comedy podcast fell in love with a romance novel podcast and had an unhinged and horny romance reader -- Becky Feldman -- hosting. Actually that's EXACTLY what it is. But it's so much more! The show also includes special episodes featuring your favorite and soon-to-be favorite romance authors... more

  • Reader BFF

Becky’s the friend you want to talk to about romance novels. She asks the best questions and gets to the heart of the author’s books, why they wrote them, and what they hope to achieve. She finds a way to relate to the story and relay that to the author in a thoughtful and generous way. I love this podcast!

  • The Great♥️

I may be a bit bias because…Becky is my friend but I really love her podcast. I love her love of romance. I love how she chooses comedy and doesn’t take herself too seriously. And the focus of her podcast being on cheap books….Yes! Us ladies living on a budget absolutely need it!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Firefighter Romance Answers the Call for a Smoldering Second Chance Love Story
Q: So what are your thoughts on this storyline of two former lovers who were made for each other, but now they're coming back together for the first time?
The guest expresses a deep appreciation for second-chance romances, highlighting how both partners can grow, change, and come back with a stronger sense of themselves and their bond, while acknowledging the challenges of timing and past trauma.
Everyone Gets a Turn in this Mafia Romance! (Her Possessive Kingpins review with Robin Reed)
Q: Do you think the 'kingpin' setup works as a cohesive power structure within the story?
Robin argues that the three men function as capos within a co-op-like mafia structure, which creates a unique dynamic different from a single dominant boss, though the narration sometimes blurs lines between leadership roles.
Everyone Gets a Turn in this Mafia Romance! (Her Possessive Kingpins review with Robin Reed)
Q: What drew Robin to this particular book and how did the three male leads shape your experience?
Robin explains she was drawn to the mob-influenced power dynamics and the goofy, theater-kid energy of the dialogue, which made the book feel both silly and entertaining rather than a straight crime story.
Even Plants Get Lucky in This Alien Romance (Sunshine’s Grumpy Alien review with Lindsay Hendrickson Lefler)
Q: What are your thoughts on insta-love in this book?
Instalove happens quickly, especially given the pheromones and alien setting, but it's countered by characters' evolving care and practical actions.
Even Plants Get Lucky in This Alien Romance (Sunshine’s Grumpy Alien review with Lindsay Hendrickson Lefler)
Q: What gravitated you towards this book?
The cover looked silly and cozy, signaling a light, playful read, which drew me in along with the cozy vibe.
