2018年10月30日，举世瞩目的世界佛教论坛在福建莆田召开，全世界的佛教领袖、高僧大德云集于此，论坛就当代佛教和人类社会发展中存在的问题进行讨论。其中新媒体论坛以“佛教与一带一路”为主题，邀请中国社会科学院学部委员、世界宗教研究所魏道儒教授，与戒幢佛学研究所所长济群法师共同对话。两位嘉宾从“感悟佛教、文化性格、西来东渐、信仰实践、和平互鉴”五个方面深入交流，令与会者深受启发。本次对话由北京佛教文化研究所定明法师策划，浙江大学东亚宗教文化研究中心主任孙英刚教授主持。
敦煌不仅有莫高窟这样闻名世界的佛教艺术宝库，还有法显、玄奘等西行求法者留下的足迹，是我们礼敬佛陀、缅怀古德的朝圣之地。从另一个角度看，敦煌又是丝绸之路的中心，是东西方文明的交汇处。正如学者季羡林所说：“世界上历史悠久、地域广阔、自成体系、影响深远的文化体系只有四个：中国、印度、希腊、伊斯兰，再没有第五个。而这四个文化体系汇流的地方只有一个，就是中国的敦煌和新疆地区，再没有第二个。”
今天的因缘很特殊。这处叫作“厢”的场地即将拆除，设计师希望面向艺术界的朋友做场活动作为纪念，并邀请我举办一场讲座。从佛法来说，这是无常的示现，因此，我将主题定为“觉醒的艺术”。 more
世人都很关注相貌和身体的美，其实，那种美是非常短暂的，所谓红颜易老，青春难驻。从佛法角度来看，世间一切都是无常的。相对外在身相来说，内在美才是历久不衰的。它不会因年龄渐增而失去，正相反，内在的美需要通过长期积累才能绽放光芒。就像璞玉那样，经过无数雕琢打磨之后，方能展现它所蕴含的明洁之美，纯净之美。
2013年10月，南方科技大学创校校长朱清时院士和戒幢佛学研究所所长济群法师相聚深圳，围绕中国传统文化和现代教育等问题展开对话。朱清时院士本身是科学家，从事高校教育工作多年。济群法师长期从事佛教教育，积极面向社会弘扬佛法，并针对学佛普遍存在的问题施设修学体系，引导大众由浅至深地次第闻思，将法义落实到心行。来自不同领域的一席谈，相信会给大家带来启发。
不久前，我们中的很多人在戈壁同行过，今天又在西园寺见面，可谓因缘殊胜。如果说我们之前走的是地理上的玄奘路，那么现在要开始的，则是玄奘心路。我和这条路因缘甚深。早在2006年，中央电视台组织“重走玄奘路”文化考察活动，我就受到邀请。虽然当时未能成行，但此后就和戈友会有了接触，多次开讲“玄奘的精神”。今年在大漠实地感受后，又有了新的认识。
2017年10月，厦门南普陀寺阿兰若处，济群法师与中华医学会公共卫生分会名誉主任委员、中国疾病预防控制中心流行病学首席专家曾光教授，进行了两个半天的对话。两人于2015年初识，相见甚欢，彼此念念，即约长谈。虽然专业不同，却有着共同的济世悲心，共同关心的话题——天下苍生的身心健康。通过这一对话，可以帮助我们了解，古老的佛教思想和年轻的公共卫生如何交流互鉴，解析人类健康的因缘。
2018年夏，济群法师应湖南践行国学公益基金会的邀请，在长沙国学公益大讲堂举办讲座。长沙是儒家四大书院之一岳麓书院的所在地，自古以来人文荟萃，名家辈出，所谓“唯楚有才，于斯为盛”。活动期间，主办方就儒家的重要命题，安排了“如何立心立命”的对话，由岳麓书院院长朱汉民教授与济群法师交流，颜爱民教授主持。
