Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

The Stranglers
Q: How was it for you before 'La Folie'?
We perversely never wanted to repeat... we were trying to go off in completely different directions each record.
Garbage
Q: So Shirley, this is the Listening Party for Garbage. I want to know, well, I do know a few things. I hope so. I know a few things that happened pre this album, but I'd like to hear it from yourself, of course. What was going on leading up to the events, the unfolding events that was the first Garbage album?
Shirley shares about her difficult transition from her previous band to Garbage, detailing her feelings of anxiety and uncertainty about her future.
Royal Blood
Q: Did you have quite a lot of say in the production?
Absolutely, we were kind of leading the way, but, you know, the way that record sounds a lot of credit is due to Tom.
Royal Blood
Q: Did you play them multiple times?
Yeah. Exactly. So there was an urgency to go and really write music.
Royal Blood
Q: Can you tell me about your experience at Rockfield?
We had been there and loved it. It was familiar and we had worked with Tom before, which is why we ended up recording Royal Blood there.
