What a hidden gem of a podcast! Listening to it is like sitting in a booth at the Green Mill enjoying a conversation between Marc and Mark and whoever wanders by to sit down and join in. Mark Eleveld steers the conversation wonderfully and Marc courageously reveals an unvarnished history of himself and the poetry slam in a true Chicago voice that is a pleasure to listen to.
Hey- I listened to the first 2 episodes- Eleveld did a really good job running the conversation- man, Marc has such a great Chicago voice- I could listen to him talk all day. Very interesting stuff regarding the early days of the slam. I understand the discretion but as a lover of story really wanted to know more about the “bad stuff” that went down in South Carolina, among other aspects of Marc’s early days. Very sold Podcast- great job
