    Addendum added June 5, 2024:

Recently the podcast has switched providers from Evergreeb Podcasts to a mew provider. Since then I have not been able to download any new episodes to my Victor Reader Stream which is a mp3 player utilized by the blind community to access podcast content without having to look

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Ellery Lloyd - TIME TO BURN
Q: Now that we're talking about the book, will one of you give me a synopsis, please?
Time to Burn is a time travel novel wrapped in a murder-mystery where wealthy travelers visit wartime London, and a missing person sets off a suspenseful race to uncover who is manipulating history and why, while exploring the ethical and societal costs of luxury time tourism.
Jessica M. Goldstein - RETRO
Q: Before we wrap up, what you've read recently that you really liked?
I've been enjoying The Children by Melissa Alpert, The Fountain by Casey Scieszka, and a Robert Caro-led 'dad history' deep dive—LJB and The Power Broker—along with a few other big historical works.
Jessica M. Goldstein - RETRO
Q: I'm good, and I'm so glad you're here because I loved Retro and I can't wait to chat about it with you.
Thank you! I've been thinking about the book a lot, especially the way it blends office satire with time travel and deeper questions about desire, power, and consequences.
Jessica M. Goldstein - RETRO
Q: Welcome, Jessica. How are you today?
I'm doing well, thanks for having me. I'm excited to talk about Retro and dive into its ideas and inspirations.
Portia Elan - HOMEBOUND
Q: Could you summarize Homebound in a way that captures its multi-timeline, multi-POV approach without giving too much away?
Homebound follows a young woman in the 1980s who inherits a game that echoes across 600 years, weaving together multiple timelines and perspectives to explore community, identity, and what it means to belong, all while staying rooted in intimate character experiences.
