Oh my gosh, Monica Genta is just… the best and an inspiration. I’m a relatively new listener and absolutely love absorbing all of her awesome ideas. And implementing them. For example, I just started the UNO competition for September and even though a class looked at me like “uummm what?” I had another class go nuts when they drew a wild card to double their points and put them in the lead on day one. And this is with high school math kiddos! Anyway, thank you Monica for being my teacher friend ... more
Hey guys! I am a 14 year old girl starting high school and my mom’s a teacher. I have always helped in her class because i’ve always been older than the grade she teaches (Right now 6-7) and she made me explain the uno behaviour thing to her class and it was so fun! And the way monica talks is amazing! This is great for every teacher!
Monica,
I've listened to your podcast for a few years now and am LOVING it! I've implemented several of the ideas I've heard on it with considerable success and student buy-in (I'm upgrading my Uno deck to the giant one this year). When the ideas don't necessarily work for me in a particular episode I know I'm still guaranteed a good laugh at some point in the show (the other people working out in the gym have decided I'm nuts!). Heading back to school next week and I'm looking forward to using ... more
I love all of Monica’s quick tips and bit of useful and useable information. I have been able to listen and run with several ideas with little to no prep. I also love her energy, each episode is full of great information.
The 4/13 episode, hit the nail on the head for me. Being 20 years into the teaching profession, I have been swinging back-and-forth on what my next steps should be in my career path. I appreciate you acknowledging both sides of this coin, and reaffirming that there is value in both. I love your podcast and look forward to it every week!
