Andy and Tim really are at the top of their craft. Such great lyrics and the melody including the subtle key change just add to the enjoyment. I love the big picture of including other animals both above and under the sea. Also importantly, the unheard other versions just add to my love of your combined music abilities. I’ve been listening to podcast since well before they became popular. Then for the last 11 years I’ve been producing them. I say all that up front for background because I can safely say the idea of this podcast the most original idea I’ve heard it donkeys years. I don’t know if it’s because I’m a musician myself, but it’s something so special to be able to join Andy on the ‘creative journey’ of writing and recording his new album. Having recently discovered Andy's music via Ralph McLean on BBC Radio Ulster (Thanks Ralph!), my iPod Classic has been shuffling away on my Andy White Playlist. Therefore, the new album has a lot of competition from older songs by Andy.
This podcast provided background and lit my interest in the new album. Listening to how the song was written and recorded along with other background influences (Bowie's "Heroed") is magic.
I can't wait for the follow-up podcasts but will be better prepared... more
