  • Just selling products

I just listened to the clothing workouts and there wasn’t hardly any practical tips whatsoever. The entire episode was one big advertisement.

I get that they need to make money but this was way overboard.

  • Honest and Open Conversations on a Long Silenced Topic

So informative with real life talk that all women can relate to. Love that this topic is finally being openly discussed, so women are able to educate themselves and support each other. All I remember was my mother referring to “the change” back in the day, like it was a taboo topic, “no more”… thank you for this.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Sleep to Improve Your Healthspan with Dr. Woganee Filate: Women’s Health, Perimenopause and Menopause Journey
Q: What can women in perimenopause do to improve sleep?
Don't resign to poor sleep as normal—talk to a doctor, explore non-hormonal or hormonal options if hot flashes/night sweats are present, assess for sleep disorders like sleep apnea, and implement small environmental and habit changes.
Sleep to Improve Your Healthspan with Dr. Woganee Filate: Women’s Health, Perimenopause and Menopause Journey
Q: How do I know if I'm actually getting deep sleep?
There isn't a perfect external test besides formal sleep monitoring; wearables can estimate, but simply feeling rested is a practical indicator, and avoid fixating on wearable data to prevent additional anxiety.
Sleep to Improve Your Healthspan with Dr. Woganee Filate: Women’s Health, Perimenopause and Menopause Journey
Q: Does it matter if I'm getting 6 hours of deep sleep or 8 hours of fragmented sleep?
Yes, both quantity and quality matter. You should aim for a total seven to eight hours with good quality sleep; disruption can negate gains and elevate health risks, so addressing both aspects is important.
Iron Deficiency, Anemia, and Iron Infusions with NDs Nic + Nat: Women’s Health, Perimenopause and Menopause Journey
Q: How common is iron deficiency among women in your patient population?
Statistically, one in four menstruating women in Canada, especially those aged 40-50, is affected by low iron levels.
Iron Deficiency, Anemia, and Iron Infusions with NDs Nic + Nat: Women’s Health, Perimenopause and Menopause Journey
Q: What are the symptoms that indicate a good treatment option for iron deficiency?
Symptoms include mood changes, fatigue, brain fog, difficulty concentrating, and restless legs, which can overlap with perimenopausal symptoms.
