I know I’m about 20 years late to watching this series for the first time, but if you’re in the same boat and are thinking about listening to this podcast alongside your watch, I want to give you a heads-up: there are a lot of spoilers.
I actually enjoyed listening to the podcast as a refresher after finishing an episode or even a season. It was fun hearing the hosts’ perspectives, and I really liked their chemistry and the effort they put into each episode.

Late to the show, literally. I am now on season 4 and couldn't wait to listen to a podcast that recapped each episode BUT, Roberta is painful to listen to. She is very argumentative and doesn't allow her co-host to have his own opinion!!!! Appreciate her perspective but for God's sake, you're not always right.
The man can be clueless and goofy, and the woman is very patient with him. The use of the word “complicit” was extremely tone deaf.
It has been ages since I’ve seen the show, and after seeing some people talking about it on TikTok, I decided to dive back in. But I love being a part of a discussion, especially hearing someone discuss things I may have missed. This podcast has been an excellent companion to a show I haven’t seen in a very long time. I listen while I lay in bed and browse vintage clothing. Love these guys!
Although it took several podcast episodes for the hosts to hit their stride and get past some hiccups like interrupting and poor sound quality, Daniel and Roberta settled into excellent analysis and insight that makes for a great accompaniment to watching Mad Men. I’ve watched the series several times, yet the podcast offered insight that I’d missed and made for a rewatch that was even more enjoyable, which didn’t seem possible given how great the series is.
