So glad I found this podcast. I just finished another Mad Men rewatch and this is the perfect companion. Great takes and really fun.
This podcast is deeply enthralling. The hosts are candid and discerning, and offers a very in depth analysis and outstanding insights. If you are a Mad Men fan this is a MUST LISTEN. Outstanding. My single complaint is that I’m up to date on episodes and must wait for new ones.
I enjoy these thoughtful and thorough episode recaps by two fellow fans of this great series.
I’m a Megan. I watched Mad Men pretty much on a loop during both of my pregnancies and the loneliness of nursing the babies, and then again, and again and again through the pandemic. I’m able to picture every moment of the show as Jenna and Steve talk me through it and relive every episode and I’m loving going through it again, with their different perspectives
I love Mad Men but it’s been a while since I rewatched it. Jonesing to do this again now after listening to a few episodes this is a very intelligent conversation between 2 folks who have done their research not only about the show and characters but also about the historical context of the times that each episode occurs in.
I’m having a lot of fun with this one!

Two longtime hosts analyze each Mad Men episode through a thoughtful, character-driven lens, blending historical context with sharp observations on power dynamics, gender roles, and creative leadership. Episodes emphasize how appearances vs. reality shape personal and professional lives, with frequent references to era-specific culture, client dynamics, and pivotal moments for main characters. The show stands out for its deep-dive analysis, clear affection for the source material, and a vibe that feels like a seasoned conversation between knowledgeable fans rather than a typical recap.
Overall, it's a strong fit for listeners who enjoy analytical takes on character development, narrative arcs across seasons, and intersections of advertisin... more
