I’ve only just starting listening to the podcast, having recently begun my classic Who journey - I’m really enjoying the experience! The segments are fun, and the genuine friendship between the two hosts really shine through. Looking forward to listening to more, when I get around to watching the rest of the show!

  • What a treat this podcast is!

I’ve recently started a watch though of all of classic Doctor Who in honor of the 60th anniversary. There were plenty of podcasts out there for the new series, but for the classic series and in order, it was few and far in between. Luckily, I found this podcast, and it is everything I’m looking for! The hosts have a great interplay and are knowledgeable about the franchise. There is excellent episode by episode discussion, trivia, and behind the scenes details. And each episode is capped off by ... more

  • Thoughtful and enjoyable

I struggle with the serial format of Classic Who so being able to experience it through Beth and David’s insightful commentary. They’re able to articulate the appeal of the classic series in a way I can understand and appreciate: through the lens and sensibilities of a modern viewer.

I also love that they’re not afraid to address the flaws, whether it’s slightly ropey storytelling by todays standards, or confronting the racism which wasn’t okay then or now. It would be very easy for them to di... more

Second Doctor Mini Midway Madness
Q: What is it that you're most excited about going forward in these last 10 Second Doctor stories?
I think I'm intrigued to see how The War Games plays out, and when Doctor Who goes off script, like does stuff that's a little bit different and a little bit weird.
Second Doctor Mini Midway Madness
Q: What are your thoughts on The Second Doctor halfway through his era?
I really like the goofiness of The Second Doctor. There's a lot of kind of Charlie Chaplin influences I can see through it, and I don't think it's a direct reference, but there are parts of it that remind me of like the carry on films where it's just like light humor.
