Love the host’s and guest’s behind the scenes memories & insights. But stop telling me how you would direct, write shoot it differently, you are all ruining the episodes I love!
Love going back in time with the guys. The DS9 rewatch with a Terri and Armin brought me back!
Heartfelt reviews of every episode of Star Trek Voyager, insightful and nostalgic! Each episode brings new details about the work behind the scenes of the show, be it the work of the director, the adaptation of the screenplay, working with the guest stars, or funny anecdotes about crew interactions! I would recommend it to any Star Trek fan out there!
I told Garret in person this podcast is why I look forward to Tuesdays (formerly Mondays). It’s like relaxing in a deep bath of nerdiness for sci fi and my other passion of film making (touring a virtually empty Paramount Studios was a highlight of my life).
I’m up to Season 3 of DS9 so maybe (hopefully) this gets better - but the episodes with Armin have gotten to be very tough going. He’s hyper critical and nitpicking to a degree that it becomes an absolute slog to get through the recaps. A lively roundtable of ex-Star Trek cast members revisiting classic DS9 episodes with a strong emphasis on behind-the-scenes stories, production choices, and actor memories. Recurring themes include directing, writing surprises, character arcs, and the balance between humor and gravitas, all while mixing in fan trivia and guest perspectives from a long-running, soft-sci-fi nostalgia project. Noteworthy is the frequent involvement of actual DS9 alumni, the blend of on-set anecdotes with deep-dive analysis, and occasional cross-episode callbacks that create a sense of long-form storytelling for longtime fans and newcomers alike.
