Great show, smart funny hosts.
If you’re remotely as obsessed with Heated Rivalry as many of us, you’ll be glad you listened.
I’m grateful for the Continental perspective. Olga is Russian and Catherine is Irish and I look forward to finding their stand up work.
Heated Rivalry and comedy are two of my favorite things! I’ve listened to multiple HR podcasts and reaction channels on YouTube and this one may be my favorite. Once I’m done binging this, I’ll happily check out the comedy of the hosts.

Dom’s impersonation of the Ilya in the novel is making me cackle!! Great banter between the hosts, so funny. I love that it offers a true critique of the show - pointing out what is unrealistic, heteronormative. And yes, watch Looking!! It is brilliant. Not only Jonathan Groff but Murray Bartlett too. I went back to watch it after watching HR and it is so heartwarming, clever, real, grown up.
I. Have. Found. My. Tribe. Please keep going until season two and through it and after and until season three and.. you get the idea. Thank you for creating a church for my new (and only) religion 🙌🏻

A sharp, humorous discussion show that centers on sexy, strange, and emotionally chaotic corners of pop culture—from prestige TV and cult films to romance novels and fanfiction. Hosts Catherine Bohart and Olga Koch bring queer energy, close readings, and candid banter, pairing satire with thoughtful commentary on desire, media, and fandom. Across episodes, the pair track branding, advertising within fictional universes, and the ethics of obsession, making it a lively mix of entertainment critique, cultural analysis, and unabashed fandom.
Noteworthy is the duo's distinctive blend of personal storytelling, pop culture literacy, and a contagious enthusiasm that turns niche obsessions into broadly relatable conversation. It's likely to appeal ... more
