Such a great podcast and I love how you dive deep into every single line and nuance. Thank you, thank you thank you
Keep the deep dives coming! About Shane removing his shoes, as a Canadian, we always remove our shoes by default when we visit someone. Always! I think Shane was just being a typical Canadian. As for Shane being a border collie, I think that Ilya is the border collie. He’s always circling the room and “herding” Shane. He’s is always on alert!
I appreciate that you're enabling my psychosis. Love your insights!
I’m one episode in and *loving* this perspective. Also, please consult an autistic person! Shane cannot tolerate sock wrinkles for reasons! Reasons that are not unrelated to the fact that he supplies a perfectly literal answer to the question of what would happen if Ilya showed up at 1410 at 9:00. “I might answer” is not just smooth, it’s also the most straightforwardly literal answer possible.
I’m enjoying this show so so much. The pair of you have a beautiful relationship dynamic and you’re both incredibly insightful. Thanks for giving me another vehicle for my deep love for the HR characters, books and the show. I also enjoy the tangents and will be taking your recs on board. Off to watch some Interview with a Vampire between Reheats.
