  • Personal experience with this ‘provider’

Just want to let others know so they aren’t in my position in case they consider working with Shalin. Shewill offer you a ‘Weight Loss Strategy” 1 hour zoom call for $299 but it’s actually just talking about your general ‘root causes’ which I’ve heard from multiple other providers, nothing new, and a sales pitch to join her coaching program for $6999-$8999 for 6 months. That does not include testing or supplements. She does not provide a weight loss strategy. You have to join the coaching progra... more

Elite Performance at 45: Inside a 5x Iron Man Athlete's Metrics | Eric Hinman
Q: So why don't you give us a bit of your story on how you got here, and what was your journey like?
Hinman describes a transformation from a 25% body-fat, unwell state fueled by poor diet and late nights to a structured, purpose-driven endurance athlete who uses zone two training, disciplined sleep, and community to fuel performance.
Your Thyroid Labs Are “Normal" But You Still Feel Sick | Dr. McCall McPherson, PA-C
Q: How should patients approach thyroid medication dosing and monitoring, especially with T3-containing therapies?
Medications with T3 should be dosed to achieve a peak after intake and monitored to keep T3 within a safe range; avoid checking labs only off meds and adjust based on clinical response and appropriate lab values.
Your Thyroid Labs Are “Normal" But You Still Feel Sick | Dr. McCall McPherson, PA-C
Q: What tests should patients advocate for if their doctor won't order them?
A full thyroid function panel including TSH, free T4, free T3, and reverse T3, plus autoimmune markers like Hashimoto's antibodies (TPO and thyroglobulin) to assess autoimmune thyroid involvement.
Your Thyroid Labs Are “Normal" But You Still Feel Sick | Dr. McCall McPherson, PA-C
Q: Why is it problematic to rely on TSH alone when evaluating thyroid health?
TSH alone often misses cases where free T4, free T3, and reverse T3 are out of optimal ranges; many patients remain symptomatic even when TSH looks normal, so a full thyroid panel provides a clearer picture.
Why You Feel Tired, Disconnected and Burnt Out | Dr. Molly Maloof, MD
Q: What role does mitochondrial health play in everyday wellness and longevity?
Mitochondrial function is described as foundational to life; disruptions in the Krebs cycle or energy production due to toxins, nutrient deficiencies, or stress can cascade into broader metabolic and health issues. The guest advocates practical testing (urine organic acids, micronutrients) and lifestyle adjustments to support mitochondria and energy.
