Ed is a man of culture, as are the guests who appear on his show. As a nostalgic VGM fan, I’m always elated when one of my own personal favorites appear in his playlists, and hearing their tasteful banter on the song and game is a delight. Long live the Mbassy!
Prime minister Ed has created a community that’s full of creative and kind people whom all have come together for one main purpose; great game music. Always informative and humble, here’s hoping that this community never ends. Thanks Ed. We’d be lost without you.
Sincerely,
The Last Rican
Great vgm podcast with interesting topics and discussion around some cool music.
Ed’s show is pretty great
There are a lot of podcasts out there doing something that’s along the lines of what this one is doing, but this one is truly doing it right. You’ll never need to look anywhere else for info and conversation about the sexual art of polka. You’d think that would be too niche a subject to sustain a whole podcast, but episode after episode, these guys prove that there’s no end to what can be said about the sexy side of Europe’s greatest music genre. Keep on oompah-ing, guys.
There is no show like the VGMbassy on the Internet. There are plenty of VGM podcasts out there, and Ed is involved in several of them, but this show digs deeper into the broader VGM culture and several of the driving forces behind it than any of the other 2-dozen-odd shows I've come across. The show runs a bit long and can get a little rambly, but for those who are looking for a more thorough exploration of the ever-expanding world of VGM, this is your show.
I have listened to Ed since his days of doing Pixeltunes Radio and the wealth of knowledge he has about video games and video game music is incredible. He always has very interesting information about the game in question and he also is very good at finding VGM you probably haven’t heard before for each show. Each episode of the Vgmbassy features a guest that shares the same passion about VGM may it be a patron of the show or a video game composer or sometimes he does a solo one. Highly recommen... more
I am not a big VGM fan - I play games with the volume muted as often as not. But hearing the music presented this way has helped give me a new appreciation of what VGM actually can be - and what it is. Ed has great guests, and they present a wonderful mix of musical styles with enough personal touch to make it relatable. And the nostalgia is strong when they hit the old school titles. Great show.
This show is a really great VGM themed podcast with a fun theme. As a fan of Ed's from his previous VGM show 'Pixel Tunes Radio' I just had to follow him to his next project. All the tracks played are great, the info presented about each game is informative and interesting, and Ed is a great host. Do yourself a favor, subscribe and enjoy...if you don't, you have NO HEART! Just kidding about the heart thing, but definitly subscribe and enjoy.
Every other Friday, I look forward to claiming Sanctuary by visiting Prime VGMinister Ed and that episode’s guest VGMbassador. The VGMbassy is a novel approach to VGM Podcasts, wherein Ed interviews a guest to talk about their respective video game cultures. I love the show, and I recommend it wholeheartedly.

Ed moves the bar for podcasting ever higher with his newest project. Rather than focusing on his own experiences and musical tastes, he asks guests to explore more of what they love and why love it. Excellent interview work and great music! Don’t miss the first episode with Keyglyph for a unique perspective on the Ecco the Dolphin games!
Great start to a new VGM podcast. The enthusiasm really makes it!
A unique new VGM Podcast that promises to have a deep sense of community amongst listeners combined with amazing VGM, guests, and fun!
As always, Ed brings a wealth of knowledge of the VGM landscape to this podcast. Can’t wait to hear the various co-hosts and formats this podcast will explore.
