Q: How did you approach the pivots, or what was your perspective on the first pivot at Gigya?
The first pivot required recognizing that the market and PMF were shifting; the team needed to adapt quickly, redeploy resources, and focus on the new business model, with the board providing anchoring advice and, when needed, capital to bridge through the transition.

Q: So maybe we can go into that story because I had to ask.
The pivot story at Gigya involved navigating a very tight runway, dealing with a near-death experience, and relying on backing from Mayfield and Benchmark to provide capital and strategic support during the pivot. This period highlighted the importance of a trusted board and hands-on guidance to survive and ultimately grow beyond the crisis.
