Disclaimer: We are three inebriated dudes(mostly) talking about history(mostly). This is neither a classroom, nor are we professional comedians. We may make a mistake or two, and many more bad jokes, but it's all for fun. Enjoy, or don't - we'll be here anyway. Cheers.

This week we discuss the "merchant of death" and "mystery man of Europe": Basil Zaharoff. We also discuss various other topics that I can't recall, because I was too inebriated to remember. Oh, and I had to edit the hell of out of this one, so, sorry... more
This week, we talk about a guy who would probably rat out, prosecute, and condemn his own family members if he suspected them of being communist - total wackjob, James Jesus Angleton. We also discuss...The Return of the Mack, and various other minuti... more

Just found your show and excited to binge the entire backlog - you guys have some bangers of episode topics and already feel like a member of the friend group - keep it up!
This show is the greatest historical podcast ever. I can’t determine which episode I like the best. it’s kinda like watching two invisible dogs fight. you’re rooting for both the dogs but you’re never gonna know which one wins!
I tried listening to the Edward Duke of Windsor episode after watching the crown--which quickly devlolved into a series of unintersting inside jokes and references to Marjorie Taylor Greene trying to do pullups. Another pod by a group of guys who think they're way funnier than they actually are. If you're looking for interesting historical info, look elsewhere.
Another “ listening in on the conversation of guys who only have a cursory knowledge of the subject matter they are talking about” kind of podcast. Weak attempts at humour and playing around with actual facts runs rampant.
Each week Steve, Steve and Ryan spend around 90 minutes covering various periods, events and personalities from history. The content is always covered in a really enjoyable way, with a nice mix of discussion whilst still keeping things on track. This is the most interested I've been in history for a long time and I always look forward to checking out the latest episode.
I'm fairly sure Steve has the patience of a saint.
