  • I enjoy the platform but…

The platform is good. I’ve enjoyed using it and I’m still a customer. But these podcasts need to be more educational. It’s fine to promote the platform, and you should, but provide more detail (where you can) about how the system works. Even better, spend more time discussing the underlying science that informs the system.

  • Go back to old format

Great podcast. One of my favorites but the old format was much better. Felt like you were in an actual training class.

  • Running tips 2025

I really liked the episode but really gravitated toward the deviations section of the podcast. Maybe you’ve already had a show on this but I wanted to hear a whole lot more about that! What’s your deviation.. here’s some exercises. A lot of us could use that insight especially if we have longstanding injuries that affect our running/training. Really great podcast!!

  • Setting myself up with energy!

Great insight from experienced athletes for you and me! So many suggestions to consider all the ways to tap into energy. Regular sleep, eating choices by discipline, nutrition, mindset, music, hydration, foam rolling, warm up dynamic exercises, breathing, and stress. They opened my mind to consider its not just a want to have energy, I can regulate my energy desire with creating new habits to fire myself up and get it done, loving the flow of being an athlete!

Mind Over Miles: A Mental Framework for Triathletes
Q: What is the simplest next step athletes can take on their next run to apply these concepts?

Your Questions Answered: Maximize Your Race Schedule, Training by Heart Rate, Grit Factor, and More!
Q: What is your advice for long race nutrition and avoiding GI issues on race day?
Practice fueling well in training weeks and months ahead, stay consistent with plain water with fueling, and begin fueling early to avoid falling behind; scripting a gut-friendly plan and having backups is key.
Your Questions Answered: Maximize Your Race Schedule, Training by Heart Rate, Grit Factor, and More!
Q: What can athletes do to train effectively without a power meter while still hitting workout intents using heart rate and RPE?
Focus on the workout's intent, use perceived exertion to gauge effort, and adjust based on how you feel and hydration/electrolyte status; avoid obsessing over fixed numbers and rely on RPE and achievable zone work.
Your Questions Answered: Maximize Your Race Schedule, Training by Heart Rate, Grit Factor, and More!
Q: If you are prepping for a fall long course race, when is the best time to sprinkle in shorter course efforts without compromising long training?
Match the volume to the distance of the target race, introducing shorter races in the early race-prep phase to practice transitions, fueling, and race-day routines without derailing long-course progress.
Turning a Triathlon Setback into a Comeback!
Q: How do you approach reframing a setback as a learning opportunity with athletes?
Encourage a collaborative after-action review, focus on learning rather than blame, and emphasize ownership of the plan to implement small, impactful changes.
