The first episode I was excited to listen to, til i realized I was hearing the host blather on about his courses for five minutes. Right at the beginning? For nearly five minutes? Are you a used car salesman or a therapist? Huge turn off and won't be listening.
Guy is a phenomenal interviewer and host. He has a way of getting the most out of each guest and making every single episode worthwhile. Highly recommend!
The value of a podcast lies in the quality of the questions, not just the answers. A skilled interviewer can make any conversation interesting, and that's the case with Guy. He's sharp, well-intentioned, and genuinely curious, making his podcast one of the best. Unlike many others who are self-centered, wanting to talk more about themselves than the chat's topic, or are super repetitive, Guy focuses on bringing out the best in his interviews. I highly recommend listening to them.
Keep trying to listen to this podcast but it would be better with a different host. The mmmmm’s and stuttering are painfully repetitive. His voice is also not mastered well, it has an odd quality that distracting.
I have been in the field of trauma therapy for over 2 decades and this podcast was pivotal in keeping me up-to-date and engaged in the emerging science and innovative approaches to the treatment of trauma. I think it offers new providers and solid foundation in following the most cutting-edge approaches to the treatment of trauma and engages us in important questions about health and wellness.
