  • Don’t listen to this if you’re a therapist 😖

Eeek! I’m a fairly new therapist looking for material to gain knowledge and improve my clinical practice. I listened to the episode with the “truthful therapist” and I felt embarrassed to be in the same profession as the guest. Very intolerant views that are dangerous for therapists to have and could do a lot of harm.

Understanding Mind-Body Pain: A Neuroplastic Approach for Mental Health Providers with Dr. David Clarke | continuing education for mental health counselors and therapists | NBCC approved | Podcourse | trauma
Q: What do neuroplastic symptoms look like and how do you identify them in practice?
Neuroplastic symptoms are varied and can manifest anywhere, often moving around, with a strong link to life stresses and past traumas. Diagnosis relies on ruling out organ disease and then examining triggers, stress history, and adverse childhood experiences to connect symptoms to brain-based processes. A useful approach is to map symptom patterns to stressors and consider non-structural explanations when tests are negative.

Q: What inspired you to start integrating AI into therapy practice?
Tolson explains she began with a desire to solve personal time-management challenges and burnout, which led her to build tools that automate routine tasks like newsletters and scheduling, eventually forming a suite of AI products for therapists.
