Thank you, for W.A.I.T? I am someone who has issues with being “heard”. I easily fluctuate between extremes of talking to much, ADHD brain ramblings, or the feeling that no one’s cares I should be quiet. I really loved the easy acronym of Why Am I Talking? In the episode about knowing when to talk and when to be quiet.
Thank you so much for continued advice.
Okay so I started listening a couple years ago and so far it was okay I don’t mind when they talk about trivial things because they’re charming but OMG 70% of the show is ads. I skip through them sometimes and I swear there was once that it was like 3 minutes of ads and still I had to keep skipping.
I get that they have to make money somehow but I’d listen to the radio if I wanted to hear this much nonsense.
There’s about 10% counseling info and 90% blah blah blah & ads. Not worth your time.
Real tools for real change! Jen, Em, and their guests are the besties in your back pocket who remind you of your potential!

Episodes blend evidence-based strategies (like DBT, ACT, Gottman concepts, and boundaries) with relatable stories, humor, and listener questions. Sponsorships and product reads are interwoven, but the core focus remains on actionable guidance for personal growth, parenting, and navigating relationships. The show stands out for its warm dynamic between co-hosts and emphasis on applying therapy concepts to real-life situations, making complex ideas approachable for both lay listeners and professionals.
Noteworthy angles include the hosts' commitment to normalizing therapy, frank discussions about staying or leaving relation... more
