  • So much value!

I have listened to almost every podcast on here. Find this to be so highly value packed. Love the bite size amount of chunked information, with very very direct feedback and guidance. Allison is NOT afraid to tell us what she really thinks, and that is what we therapist-business owners need! I highly recommend.

  • Had to stop listening

I listened to a few of these episodes but had to unfollow due to the near-constant plugging of various products. Like every five minutes you’re hearing some kind of ad read by the host or another plug for therapy notes.

  • Ugh

I keep hoping this podcast will offer something, and I’m always disappointed. She offers such minimal info here that it’s almost laughable- - okay, she’s just doing this to recruit people for her consulting biz. But wait, then she also has advertising???!?? So, this podcast is all about making money for her. Don’t be fooled, this podcast offers NOTHING for its listeners.

  • Stop

This podcast has some (rare) helpful ideas, BUT with this many ads, it’s definitely a net negative. Bye…

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Episode #781: Being a Virtual Nomad Therapist, feat. Dr. Ann Krajewski
Q: Tell me what you see when therapists consider going abroad with their private practice.
The major shifts come from understanding that licensing is often more flexible than people fear, that insurance coverage can be navigated by choosing the right providers, and that with thoughtful planning you can maintain or grow a private practice while living overseas. It also requires rethinking scheduling, marketing, and the cost structure to leverage a geographically diverse client base.
Episode #780: Do You Need an Office?
Q: I'm debating getting an in-person office in case it will bolster referrals. What are your thoughts?
The guests share that while an office isn't necessary for everyone, a well-chosen location can significantly boost referrals and visibility through local marketing and SEO, especially when paired with a strong Google Business presence. They emphasize strategic selection of the space and leveraging the office as passive marketing within a community of similar practitioners.
Episode #779: Tween/Teen Niches
Q: How can I stand out on my website to attract both teens and their moms?
Create teen- and parent-facing pages, use a direct message to teens in video form, and clearly describe the services and outcomes you help with, including specific relief from common issues like school transitions and friend drama.
Episode #779: Tween/Teen Niches
Q: How should I handle pricing across two states with different markets?
Charge based on personal financial needs and desired caseload, not purely on regional market comparisons; consider transparent options like sliding scales without advertising them widely.
Episode #779: Tween/Teen Niches
Q: What niche should I focus on for my private practice?
The guest should lean into the Tween/Teen niche, particularly around relationships and friendship dynamics, with clear pages for teens, tweens, and parents.
