  • So much value!

I have listened to almost every podcast on here. Find this to be so highly value packed. Love the bite size amount of chunked information, with very very direct feedback and guidance. Allison is NOT afraid to tell us what she really thinks, and that is what we therapist-business owners need! I highly recommend.

  • Had to stop listening

I listened to a few of these episodes but had to unfollow due to the near-constant plugging of various products. Like every five minutes you’re hearing some kind of ad read by the host or another plug for therapy notes.

  • Ugh

I keep hoping this podcast will offer something, and I’m always disappointed. She offers such minimal info here that it’s almost laughable- - okay, she’s just doing this to recruit people for her consulting biz. But wait, then she also has advertising???!?? So, this podcast is all about making money for her. Don’t be fooled, this podcast offers NOTHING for its listeners.

  • Stop

This podcast has some (rare) helpful ideas, BUT with this many ads, it’s definitely a net negative. Bye…

Episode #763: Shrinking an Overfull Practice
Q: What about marketing the second business? How should I structure that?
Set aside dedicated time for brainstorming and planning, gain clarity on specific marketing tactics (e.g., Facebook groups, networking), and schedule actionable steps, rather than trying to do everything at once.
Episode #763: Shrinking an Overfull Practice
Q: How do I get down to a lower number of clients per week while still maintaining income?
Focus on assessing client progress, group scheduling, selective referrals, clear graduation criteria, and marketing strategies for a second business to diversify income streams, all while staying aligned with ethical boundaries.
Episode #763: Shrinking an Overfull Practice
Q: A few things. I kind of wanted to brainstorm through a few things.
They discuss strategies for downsizing a caseload, using group therapy options, and deciding when to refer out clients to better fit goals and time constraints, with emphasis on ethical practice and client progress.
Episode #762: Consult Calls Freak You Out? This Is What's Really Happening
Q: How can a new private practice clinician approach consult calls to reduce imposter syndrome?
Shift mindset to focus on the client, ask open-ended questions about their needs, validate their experience, and use a script to reduce anxiety and ensure you don't overtalk or overpraise yourself.
Episode #760: Afraid to Narrow Your Niche? Here's What Actually Happens
Q: How specific does a niche actually need to be before you start putting yourself out there, and is it possible to go too soon?
Rebecca explains that niching down isn't about excluding people; it's about aligning your work with what lights you up and what you're best at, which makes your messaging clearer and more attractive to the right clients. It's normal to start with a broad fear, but narrowing early is advantageous and often reversible if you change direction later.
