  • So much value!

I have listened to almost every podcast on here. Find this to be so highly value packed. Love the bite size amount of chunked information, with very very direct feedback and guidance. Allison is NOT afraid to tell us what she really thinks, and that is what we therapist-business owners need! I highly recommend.

  • Had to stop listening

I listened to a few of these episodes but had to unfollow due to the near-constant plugging of various products. Like every five minutes you’re hearing some kind of ad read by the host or another plug for therapy notes.

  • Ugh

I keep hoping this podcast will offer something, and I’m always disappointed. She offers such minimal info here that it’s almost laughable- - okay, she’s just doing this to recruit people for her consulting biz. But wait, then she also has advertising???!?? So, this podcast is all about making money for her. Don’t be fooled, this podcast offers NOTHING for its listeners.

  • Stop

This podcast has some (rare) helpful ideas, BUT with this many ads, it’s definitely a net negative. Bye…

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Episode #744: The "If I Rest, I Lose Money" Problem
Q: How do I reduce my caseload without sacrificing income or momentum?
Start by ensuring you pay yourself a consistent amount every pay period, model your monthly target around at least six weeks off per year, and then consider raising your rates or moving off insurance so you can maintain income as you reduce hours. Focus on math-based planning rather than just hoping for stability, and protect momentum with intentional scheduling and a cash cushion.
Episode #745: Be the Therapist AI Recommends, feat. Amber Lyda
Q: Does having good SEO help with AI optimization?
Yes. A clear structure that states who you help and how you help them improves AI understanding, and embedding this into the top sections of pages helps AI match you more effectively while staying aligned with traditional SEO practices.
Episode #743: Private Pay OOO, feat. Sanjana Sathya
Q: How does Thrizer handle denials or billing errors to protect clinicians and clients?
Thrizer absorbs the financial risk for denials on initial claims and works to fix billing errors; they also provide status updates to clients and keep clinicians whole whenever possible.
Episode #743: Private Pay OOO, feat. Sanjana Sathya
Q: Why is this out-of-network focus a valuable niche for therapists right now?
It aligns with clear client demand for accessible care, differentiates private-pay therapists from crowded in-network options, and leverages a pay-and-claim workflow that reduces friction for clients while preserving clinician revenue.
Episode #739: Working with Chronic Pain, feat. Sean Hershey
Q: How does pain reprocessing therapy differ from traditional CBT for chronic pain?
Pain reprocessing therapy aims to reduce the overall threat value of pain by addressing emotional processing and beliefs about the body, rather than merely teaching coping strategies, so symptoms can decrease or disappear when the emotional and cognitive patterns are changed.
