  • Genuine & helpful advice for therapists

I’ve listened to Danielle’s podcast for ages and the quality is superb. She shares so much valuable info in an easy to understand way, and stays up to date on what’s working in SEO, AIO, marketing trends, etc - which is SO helpful. I also love the deep dives on mind set work, and the personal shares that normalize the emotional stuff that comes up when building a business.

  • So helpful

I have a fairly successful group practice that I’m looking to optimize after taking some time to grow my family. As a mom and business owner it is hard, so I’m grateful I found this podcast. The episode on SEO and chatGPT was eye opening about the direction I should shift my marketing and areas to focus on so I appreciate all of the information!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

EP 226: Q&A: Burnout, Business Growth, and the Future of Therapy Practices
Q: How can I add revenue when I'm having trouble getting clients?
Consider EAPs as a bridge to private pay, and develop practice intensives that can command higher hourly rates and convert clients quickly. Also collaborate with other providers for referrals and build scalable offerings once you're 70% full.
EP 226: Q&A: Burnout, Business Growth, and the Future of Therapy Practices
Q: What has been your most lucrative income stream so far?
Online courses and programs can be highly lucrative if you invest in quality, delivery, and ongoing updates, but they require significant work. Brand deals can be lucrative too, with proper management and deliverables.
EP 226: Q&A: Burnout, Business Growth, and the Future of Therapy Practices
Q: Where are the intakes in 2026? I'm doing everything right. It's the same way I've been doing for years.
The problem isn't the fundamentals; it's that the market has shifted. Therapists need to adapt marketing and find new channels, like AIO and AI-enabled search, to reach clients, rather than relying on old methods.
EP 219: Google Ads for Therapists with Christi Underwood (Part 1)
Q: Is Google Ads beneficial for solo private practices as well as groups, and how to decide?
Ads can be particularly beneficial for solo practices because leads can be generated more quickly and tailored to specific offerings; each solo practice should highlight their unique strengths to avoid generic messaging that doesn't resonate with potential clients.
EP 219: Google Ads for Therapists with Christi Underwood (Part 1)
Q: How much should a therapist budget to test Google Ads in the beginning?
For many therapists, starting with about $300 to $400 per month (roughly $10–$15 per day) is sensible in smaller markets, with room to grow to around $1,000 per month in larger practices or higher competition.
