  • Disappointed in advertisement choice

I find the information on this show helpful, but I’m disappointed that Danielle has opted to connect with a VC in advertising. While I have no issue with therapists deciding to join with a VC to build their practice, it seems to me that Danielle promoting one is in direct opposition to what she is trying to help therapists in pp go up against. For this reason, I decided to put my money elsewhere when joining a coaching program.

  • How to hire a house manager

This information is such a blessing right now. Thank you both for the work you do, this is one of the most important services I’ve ever heard of. I was literally at the point where I was like maybe I need to just quit being a therapist. I have 2 kids one of them has high functioning autism. This episode blew my mind and gave me hope again.

  • Genuine & helpful advice for therapists

I’ve listened to Danielle’s podcast for ages and the quality is superb. She shares so much valuable info in an easy to understand way, and stays up to date on what’s working in SEO, AIO, marketing trends, etc - which is SO helpful. I also love the deep dives on mind set work, and the personal shares that normalize the emotional stuff that comes up when building a business.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

EP 240: Stop Marketing Everywhere: What Actually Grows a Group Practice with Laurel van der Toorn
Q: What role does SEO play in the strategy, and how is it managed?
SEO is a core, long-term investment; Laurel learned SEO on a cruise, later outsourced most of the ongoing work but maintains educated, hands-on oversight to ensure alignment with the original keyword strategy and content authenticity.
EP 240: Stop Marketing Everywhere: What Actually Grows a Group Practice with Laurel van der Toorn
Q: How does she view social media and podcasting in her growth plan?
She treats social media as a lower-priority channel, focusing instead on essentialism and a long-tail, long-term approach to marketing, while podcasting is used mainly for backlinks and credibility rather than direct client acquisition.
EP 238: How AI is Changing SEO for Therapists with Kristie Plantinga (And What Actually Works)
Q: What are the eight to twelve key phrases that tend to perform well in the therapy industry right now, and how should therapists approach them in content strategy?
The core topics like grief, anxiety, depression, trauma, couples therapy, and EMDR remain highly relevant, but AI encourages deeper drilling into specific subtopics (e.g., complex PTSD therapy in Denver, EMDR for anxiety) to create highly targeted content that ranks better in local searches and stands out against bigger SEO budgets.
EP 238: How AI is Changing SEO for Therapists with Kristie Plantinga (And What Actually Works)
Q: For a therapist who might not know what AIO means, can you give us a brief overview and why they should care about it?
AIO refers to AI optimization; while Google and AI tools are increasingly integrated, there is no standalone “AIO” in the official sense. The practical takeaway is to understand how AI tools surface information and how to align your SEO with what Google, Gemini, and other AI systems prioritize—local relevance, expert niche, and consistent signals across platforms.
EP 231: How to Hire a House Manager with Kelly Hubbell
Q: What resources do you offer, and how can listeners learn more or get started?
We offer an informational call a few times per week where potential clients learn how we work, see timing expectations, and can sign up for a kickoff call. We also provide resources like the Home Systems Playbook and a free three-minute quiz to assess readiness for a house manager.
