Nobody was crying for Argentina at the end of the World Cup Final but why did England act like they were defending The Falklands all over again, choosing to park HMS not-so-Invincible?

From Hootie & The Blowfish and Counting Crows to the whole Yacht Rock genre, we look into those bands people often love but would think twice about wearing the T-shirt. Is the ridicule justified or is it just performative musical snobbery?

We’re as high as Harry Kane’s voice went after England overcame adversity at the Azteca but can we stop Haaland? VAR and Infantino are doing their best to ruin it all but at least Brazil and Ladyboy Ronaldo have been sent packing.

We dissect the over-saturated world of rushed-out, ghost-written celebrity autobiographies, where pun-heavy titles are obligatory and there's more filler than Katie Price's face. Another reason to hate Christmas.

How did I not know about this?! Saw Gavvers yesterday and heard you were doing this. Listening to the Oasis episode, absolutely hilarious chaps! Hope you’re both well! Rob L.

PS it was Burnage, not Parrs Wood lads who clouted LG at school! We had a special assembly and Mass the day after to pray for him!! 😂

I haven’t laughed so much in ages. The Derek Acorah episode & the crap cops shows had me in tears.

Great nostalgia trips & even with the laughs a good podcast.

  • Just chatting with mates!

Love this podcast, the subjects are all my favourite things from obscure folk horror to indie bands, serial killers to 80s TV, the crap to the marvellous and everything that’s dark in between! But the best thing is that it’s just like listening to your mates chatting while you’re too drunk in the pub to take part but just happy to listen and nod along.
