  • Narcissistic parent, how to? We want one from you about this topic.

Ross, I heard you speak on another podcast in the past six months. Now, myself, my sister and my dad are all following you and referencing you relatively frequently in our discussions. Your explaination of the pathology of narcissism has been incredibly helpful to understand the diagnosis and the behaviors. My sister and I desperately are anticipating and requesting a episode from you about how to engage when you have a narcissistic parent. Looking forward to more listening. Thx

  • Reduces audience to a label

There’s good information here, but the host’s constant use of his own term, “SLD,” to label the people he’s discussing goes from distracting to grating to unbearable as he repeats it over and over.

No one is “an SLD” any more than they are “a depressive,” or “an anxious” or “a traumatized.”

What makes it so infuriating in this case is that our host has just made up this term himself, and he’s very casual in the way he reduces people to that label.

    Work on the nomenclature.

I came to this podcast after having spent months learning about narcissism, but realizing my own codependence and SLD was the missing piece of the puzzle. I finally feel empowered to start changing my own self to make improvements in my life. Thank you so much!

Why Chronic Pain Isn’t Imaginary: The Mind Body Link
Q: Can you explain how the brain can generate physical symptoms like pain?
