Reviews

4.5 out of 5 stars from 35 ratings
  • Great show

I think Sean does a great job making the show entertaining and covering the local sports teams fairly. No complaints there.

James, on the other hand, talks like he’s never been on the radio before. I lose brain cells listening to his sports takes and jokes. I think including him in the show is a mistake.

Sean could take a page out of Bill Reilly’s book and engage with the listeners more rather than fill time with his producer.

  • No Scott Mitchell

Please stop letting Scott Mitchell host the show! He’s so hard to listen to! I love listening to Sean. Others are good too. I would give 5 stars if Scott doesn’t host

Sean O'Connell Show - Full POD 6-15-26
Q: What stood out most about the Knicks' championship run and Brunson's role?
Brunson emerged as the central driving force, a leader who took a pay cut to help the team build around him, and delivered a high-impact playoff performance that solidified his place as the team's core despite external skepticism.
Sean O'Connell Show - Full POD 6-16-26
Q: What is the core issue with Brendan Sorsby's eligibility and the NFL's potential involvement?
The discussion centers on whether Sorsby's gambling infractions should bar him from college play and how the NFL might address a future draft, potentially assessing past gambling behavior differently now that legalized betting has changed the landscape.
Isaac Schade on the NBA Draft, The case for the Jazz taking Cam Boozer 2nd overall, Worth it to trade up to No. 1 (?) + more
Q: What you've seen of AJ DeBansa, what we've all seen of Darryn Peterson, and what you've seen of Cam Boozer, is any of these guys worth trying to chase number one and trading away future assets to try to ensure that you can move from two as the Utah Jazz to get up to one?
The guest suggests there are two plausible paths: either pursue a top-tier, high-floor player like DeBonsa or consider the upside and fit of Boozer or Peterson, depending on red flags and team needs, with a real strategic debate about whether moving up is worth the cost and risk, given the depth of the class.
Jay Nolly on the World Cup, Mexico vs South Africa kicking things off, USMNT's opener tomorrow, Championship prediction + more
Q: What are we best at, for the absolute soccer novice?
Nolly suggests the US excels in the middle of the park and on the wings, with strong pivots in the midfield and pace on the flanks, which should define how they approach games, though he notes potential defensive gaps due to injuries and age.
Spencer Warne on the World Cup, USMNT 4-1 win in Friday's opener, Cape Verde's draw with tournament favorite Spain + more
Q: How should I be viewing that, Spencer, as the resident expert who actually knows what he was watching? Is that as strong of a win as it looked like?
The win felt very strong; the US looked cohesive, fed by the home crowd, with clear organization, fast ball movement, and effective counter-attacks, showing they're adapting well under Mauricio Pochettino and could be a marker for continued success in the tournament.
