  • Entertaining, original

Spencer doesn’t sensationalize for sound bites. I genuinely feel entertained and also like I’m getting original takes from host and guests that educate me about the Utah and pro sports landscape. Love the show!

  • A difficult listen

I think Spence is very smart (he’ll definitely let you know), but he’s hard to listen to. He takes forever to ask his guests questions. He’ll take 4 minutes to ask what a guest thinks about the Coach’s Poll as he’s leading them along, telling them the poll is no good (unless the utes are ranked in it). Spit it out man! Just ask the question and let them talk. If he starts into a question, change the channel for a few mins or fast forward several minutes.

His voice is annoying too. You know how ... more

  • Bad strategy

Dropping loud frantic ads into an otherwise calm conversation is VERY jarring and irritating, like having a schizophrenic in charge who is toggling between Jekyll and Hyde personalities. Makes the next episode easy to skip.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

@Spencer_linton talks BYU vs Texas Tech matchup, is this the biggest game in recent memory for BYU and much more
Q: What would it take for BYU to win tomorrow?
Three big keys: be even or better in the turnover margin, run effectively enough to set up the play action pass, and get Texas Tech off the field on third down.
MON POD @SpenceChecketts(@AFCU) talking College Hoops Tip-Off, Big 12, Utah/BYU FB + more
Q: Kyle, how confident are you at a potential at-large college football playoff bid if you aren't able to make the Big 12 championship game?
We're really focused on Baylor right now. We know that we don't have any margin for error and we must take things one week at a time.
MON POD @SpenceChecketts(@AFCU) talking College Hoops Tip-Off, Big 12, Utah/BYU FB + more
Q: What is the big thing that you guys need to focus on this week to limit Sawyer Robertson in that passing attack?
We need to try to make him uncomfortable. If he just sits back there and has all day to throw and can throw to those productive receivers, it'll be tough.
It's @19ScottMitchell on Big 12 Latest, CFP Scenarios, Utah @ Baylor + more
Q: Why do you think the advanced metrics continue to not favor BYU?
BYU plays hard and doesn't often beat itself, but they lack standout electric players, which may reduce their rating in metrics.
It's @19ScottMitchell on Big 12 Latest, CFP Scenarios, Utah @ Baylor + more
Q: What sort of challenge do you think the Baylor Bears pose?
Baylor is a dangerous team due to their coaching under Dave Aranda and their ability to play well enough to pose challenges.
