  • WONDERFUL!

I re-discovered the Saturate Podcast a few months ago. I "happened" to start listening at the first episode of the BLESS series. I was immediately inspired and hungry to learn more and hear the rest of the series. I've since started listening to older episodes.

I really, really like the Saturate/Soma model of doing things. I appreciate the honesty and openness and unwillingness to just do church as usual. Saturate in general is a revolutionary beacon of hope for me, and the podcast inspires me ... more

  • So helpful!

Because the missional community group model is so counter-cultural, it can often be very confusing and ambiguous to grasp. This podcast greatly helps in fleshing out how to live Christianity in the everyday stuff of life as a community.

The Deep Architecture of the Human Soul
Q: How can leaders sustain change after a sabbatical or a season of rest?
By integrating a community that holds them and by continuing to downshift into safe spaces, so the body isn't forced back into go mode; ongoing supervision, spiritual direction, and shared accountability help sustain transformation beyond the sabbatical.
The Deep Architecture of the Human Soul
Q: What are some of the key practices or discoveries that help people move off the hamster wheel?
Shifting into a state of safety and connection, slowing down to notice thoughts and bodily sensations, and cultivating practices from that safe space rather than trying to fix everything at once; these steps pave the way for deeper character change rather than mere habit formation.
Sent Churches, Sending Churches
Q: How can churches start to cultivate a sending culture?
Begin with smaller forms of sending within the church and gradually develop the culture to support larger sending efforts.
Sent Churches, Sending Churches
Q: What are the biggest mistakes churches make when trying to send leaders?
Churches often wait until they feel they have enough resources, leaders, or members before they attempt to send. This mindset leads to a perpetual state of waiting and prevents action.
Kingdom Innovation
Q: How do you encourage leaders to embrace innovation?
Start with time-bound experiments to test new ideas on a small scale.
