  • Great podcast, fix sound balance

Love the quality of the podcast but something needs to be done about the sound. The podcasts’ volume is super low but as soon as an ad plays, it plays at regular volume, which is an issue since the volume needs to be higher to hear the actual content of the podcast.

  • Off Topic

I came to listen to a podcast about Running, and instead, it’s minutes and minutes of someone talking about their dog and having a breeder. Which is not something I’d ever want to listen to.

  • No Longer Informative

I loved this show when Coach Elizabeth was the host! I was hopeful that the new hosts would be as interesting and as informative as she was, but unfortunately, the show isn’t even about running anymore. The show focuses more on their political agenda than anything else. I really miss the informative episodes that helped me become a stronger runner!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Trail & Ultra Running 101: Community, Mud, and Why Nobody Asks Your Finish Time
Q: What's the best piece of advice you've ever received?
My wife sends me a simple text before races that says, 'don't be a bitch,' a reminder to push through the hurt, stay focused, and trust the training when it's hardest.
Running Boston at the Back of the Pack: What Really Happens When the Crowds Leave w/ Avelyn
Q: What is one thing you wish more people understood about being a back-of-the-pack runner?
Back-of-the-pack runners work as hard or harder than front-runners; running a marathon at a slower pace requires a special kind of dedication and perseverance that deserves respect.
Running Boston at the Back of the Pack: What Really Happens When the Crowds Leave w/ Avelyn
Q: What's one thing that people are generally surprised to find out about you?
I'm more of a creative person in my off-race time, enjoying crafts and dinosaurs, which contrasts with the visible athletic persona and shows there's more to runners than just their pace.
Running Boston at the Back of the Pack: What Really Happens When the Crowds Leave w/ Avelyn
Q: What's the best piece of advice you've ever received?
When you feel discomfort in a race, pivot your focus to a different body part or tactic that keeps you moving, such as adjusting your run-walk intervals, which can help you stay in control and finish.
Motherhood, Ultras & Letting Go of Perfection with Francesca Barbetta
Q: What is the best piece of advice you've ever received?
Don't get a bit angry.
