  • High quality but..

Sort of. Kind of. Like. Sort of. Kind of. Like.

  • Uninspired, catered to male runners, terrible interviewing skills

As a female runner, I found a lot of the content to be really not geared towards considering that women are different in their hormonal needs, etc, and it felt quite ignorant in some comments. I also listened to the UTMB winners interview, and it sounds like the guys have never even researched or read even an article about ultra trail running. Their questions were also quite ignorant and repeated questions that the winners also already answered. In all, I have no idea why this has the ratings it... more

  • The ‘mansplaining’ episode 🙄

Well I’ve heard some feminist rubbish in the past but this is the best example - men and women are totally different & clearly they don’t like men.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Hugo Fry: running a 2:17 marathon, a love of rice, 'runfluencing' and more
Q: Can we talk to you about Rice? You've been vocal about your love of that food stuff.
Rice is my go-to fueling because it digests well, is gluten-free, and sits well with most people; it supported a science-based approach during CIM and post-race nutrition, contrasting with pasta-heavy narratives. It remains a practical, reliable option rather than a marketing gimmick.
How to keep running as you get older
Q: Can we talk about the psychological side? Do you think there's a mental narrative that ages us when we get older?
Yes, mindset plays a major role. Using studies and case examples, the guest highlights that choosing to think of age as a limiter can accelerate decline, while adopting a younger, more hopeful perspective can lead to better engagement with running and even measurable improvements in well-being.
We share our greatest marathon tips and failings
Q: What about you, Joe, if there's one lesson you would want someone new to marathon running to know, what would that be?
A lot goes into the days before the race; you should be strict with yourself, avoid overindulgence, and prioritize a bland, easy-to-digest pre-race nutrition to minimize stomach issues and set a solid foundation for race day, while also planning to stay conservative at the start.
Live from the Great North Run
Q: How do you fit training into a busy life?
All guests emphasize prioritizing consistent, shorter sessions, mobility work, and incorporating running into daily routines rather than chasing long, perfect schedules.
Live from the Great North Run
Q: What was the motivation to run today?
The guests describe personal and charitable motivations, including supporting Mencap and using running as a family-friendly, meaningful activity that benefits mental health and community connection.
