Content is great, but he talks way too fast and the constant swallowing and throat clearing makes it very hard to listen to. The content is some of the best I’ve heard, but hard to take it in. Wish I could play this at half speed so I could actually take it in.
This podcast and Matt’s book has changed my life and the way I look at OCD & Anxiety.
I absolutely LOVE this podcast. Matt puts everything into words that an OCD brain can understand. It’s like everything he says I can relate to, as a fellow sufferer. It’s very helpful when the person talking to you about recovery, has been through it themselves, and can put into words everything you’ve been dealing with. You feel very seen, and when he says something, I feel like I can trust his judgment because he’s been there too.

I just listened to your episode on Host vs Hostage. I have learned after 70+ years suffering from a number of mental health issues that the stronger my sense of self (ego) the more I suffer. It creates a feeling of separation, urgency, scarcity, etc. Which in turn drives fear, guilt, shame, anger, anxiety and depression.
