Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

You don't deserve to eat animals!
Q: What would you say to somebody who is pregnant at the moment? What are the main things they've got to look out for, and how are they going to navigate this system so that they're fear-mongered and given a whole load of crazy stuff and drugs and jabs and for them, for the babies, for all this sort of thing?
She emphasizes education before pregnancy, the importance of having a doula, and knowing which interventions are truly necessary. She discusses the need to question standard practices, understand the risk landscape, and advocate for informed choices to reduce fear-driven decisions in maternity care.
You don't deserve to eat animals!
Q: Let's change tack here a bit because also I was surprised to hear that you're into the carnivore diet. What's your diet journey been like?
Charlotte recounts a long history with eating disorders, bulimia in childhood, and a shift to Keto that coincided with improved well-being. She describes moving away from veganism during pregnancies and lactation due to cravings and neurological symptoms, followed by a sustained carnivore approach that led to weight loss and symptom improvement, while acknowledging ongoing health challenges.
Why blood tests can be useless, especially on carnivore.
Q: What blood tests should carnivores consider or avoid?
Focus on tests that reflect current symptoms and diet context, like glucose trends (CGM or fasting glucose), full kidney and liver panels to establish baselines, and inflammatory markers when symptoms suggest inflammation; avoid over-reliance on LDL alone and consider triglycerides/HDL ratios.
Meat and yoga? Surely not!
Q: So I'd love to get into your story about your history with yoga and stuff. How did this come about?
Cecilia describes practicing yoga casually, taking retreats in South Korea and India, and gradually integrating yoga with her carnivore journey, emphasizing that meat-inclusive eating can complement yoga rather than hinder it.
Dr. Ankur Verma – India's heart attack denial!
Q: How do you approach patients transitioning to carnivore, especially those with autoimmune issues?
He describes a staged transition tailored to patient type (vegetarian vs omnivore), starting with broths and eggs for vegetarians, gradually introducing meat, and in some cases using fasting or rapid shifts depending on pain and disease activity.
