I’m enjoying Nick’s interview style. At first I was annoyed he didn’t press Pete harder on spending cuts and entitlements. But then I realized but letting him talk about minute changes that will do nothing, it’s even more obvious that he has no ideas how to deal with the deficit.
Keep up the good work Nick. Like how you let them express themselves and ask simple guard rail questions to help tease out the lack of serious policies.
Authoritarian autocracy on the rise with in-your-face corruption and unconstitutionality on proud display, and the voice of the “don’t tread on me” ethos gives us… stadium funding? Seems to me Reason was more exercised about the Covid lockdowns than they are about the armed occupation of American cities. When I first saw that was Nick’s interview today I almost skipped it. I listened on my slow traffic drive home and it was really good and kept my interest. Nick asks great questions and brought out... more
Nick spent the majority of this interview licking Ben Wizner and the ACLU’s free speech bona fides. You know what never came up? An ACLU bigwig saying “stopping the circulation of this book and these ideas is 100% a hill I will die on”. He’s become Lesley Stahl in a leather jacket. So lame.
